Garden Project with Portland Resource Generation

Taking Ownership PDX recently teamed up with Portland Resource Generation on a garden project that brought new life to a local homeowner's yard. Despite the initial downpour, complete with thunder and lightning, our dedicated team persevered.

"We stuck it out for 20 minutes, and I'm so glad we did," shared Jed Overly, Taking Ownership PDX's volunteer director. "The sun broke through, and we were able to remove unwanted rubbish, weed multiple garden beds, and prepare the property for some brand new planter boxes. Though it was a small group, the work we accomplished meant a ton to the homeowner, and they were excited to spend the rest of their summer in their newly beautified yard."

This collaboration not only transformed the space but also highlighted the power of community and resilience.
