Taking Ownership PDX Awarded $95,000 in Grants!
We are excited to announce that Taking Ownership PDX was recently awarded a $75,000 grant from the Meadow Fund! This funding will help cover our operational costs, enabling us to continue our mission of empowering and uplifting Portland’s Black community. The Meadow Fund, a donor-advised fund under the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, supports leaders and organizations dedicated to ending the racialized carceral system in the United States. Their focus includes intersectional approaches to racial, gender, and criminal justice reform.
This grant will also help toward enhancing Taking Ownership PDX’s capacity and dedicate more resources to our programs and initiatives. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Meadow Fund for their support and belief in our work and mission.
Additionally, we are thrilled to share that recently Taking Ownership PDX received a $20,000 grant from Seeding Justice! Portland Seeding Justice is a community-driven foundation that provides grants and resources to grassroots organizations working on social justice issues, including racial justice, LGBTQ+ rights, immigrant rights, economic justice, and environmental justice. This grant will further support our efforts to transform homes and lives in our community.
