Volunteer Testimonial: Peter Banka

At the volunteer garden project, we spoke with Peter Banka who volunteers with Taking Ownership PDX. Hear from Peter about why he chooses to volunteer with us and make a difference in the Albina neighborhood.

"My wife and I moved into the Albina neighborhood about a year and a half ago. We're conscious of the racial history of this neighborhood and the impact that gentrification has had on Indigenous and People of Color in a historical Black neighborhood. We just want to contribute to helping people who have lived here a long time stay here."
