A Bathroom Remodel with a Purpose
At Taking Ownership PDX, we believe that every home should be a sanctuary. Recently, we completed a remarkable bathroom remodel that not only enhanced the aesthetics but also ensured a healthier and safer environment for the homeowner. Partnering with Robin Renovation, an interior and exterior remodeling company based in Portland and Vancouver, we witnessed a stunning transformation that exceeded expectations.
The project wasn't just about looks; it was about addressing underlying issues. Robin Renovation tackled extensive water damage in the basement, restoring the structural integrity of the home and providing peace of mind to the homeowner.
But our commitment to excellence didn't stop there! We partnered with the African American Alliance for Homeownership (AAAH), a 501(c)(3) non-profit community-based organization in Portland. With their support, we engaged Gerryn Energy, a Black-owned full-service electrical company in Portland, for a major electrical upgrade. This upgrade not only modernized the home's electrical system but also contributed to empowering minority-owned businesses in our community.
Additionally, the AAAH generously funded the insulation of the homeowner's attic. This initiative not only improved energy efficiency but also addressed a pest problem, ensuring a comfortable and healthy living space.
Moving forward, Taking Ownership PDX is committed to more collaborations with impactful organizations. By leveraging our collective strengths, we aim to provide comprehensive services that go beyond renovation, creating homes that are not only beautiful but also sustainable and supportive of our community.
