A New Roof and Beyond: Enhancing Homes with Community Partnerships

We’re thrilled to announce the completion of another roof replacement project! This vital upgrade not only ensures that the homeowner's residence is protected from the elements but also opens the door for her to install solar panels, should she choose to. At Taking Ownership, we are committed to helping Black homeowners access renewable energy resources, and we aim to support similar endeavors in the near future.

In addition to the roof replacement, we partnered with Build & Paint Portland and Miller Paint's "Paint It Forward" campaign for an interior paint job. The transformation is stunning, and you can check it out on our Instagram here.

We also collaborated with Portland YouthBuilders to replace her deck and make it safe to walk on again. 

We are grateful for the incredible partnerships and community support that make projects like this possible. Together, we're building stronger, more sustainable futures for Black homeowners in Portland.
