A Night of Gratitude & Basketball for Taking Ownership PDX Volunteers

At Taking Ownership PDX, we believe in the power of community and the strength that comes from collective action. In March, our volunteers gathered to watch a thrilling Portland Trail Blazers basketball game at the Moda Center, where they faced off against the Toronto Raptors.

While every volunteer who contributes to Taking Ownership PDX is special and valued, this event was specifically designed to recognize the core group among us. These individuals have consistently shown up, contributed their time and effort, and have become integral parts of our community initiatives.

Despite a minor scheduling hiccup that made it challenging to connect with all of our core volunteers, the event served as a meaningful opportunity to express our gratitude for their unwavering commitment.

Looking ahead, we're focused on making our future events inclusive, welcoming new members who share our passion. Our volunteer community has evolved into a close-knit network of neighbors, responders, and advocates for our Black community.

Thank you to all our volunteers for your selfless acts of service. Here's to more collaboration and impactful moments together at Taking Ownership PDX!
